Ballot places for Stamp it Out Summit to close on 2nd May due to high demand

Record demand means ballot for Stamp it Out Summit will close early.

High demand for places at this year's Stamp it Out Summit have left the organisers with little choice other than to close the ballot for tickets early - even before a single speaker for the event has been announced.

The event will take place at the Leonardo London City Hotel on Tuesday 17th September and will be a full one day event.

Featuring a series of key, high profile (yet to be announced speakers) from across not only our own sector but also others where public facing employees are at significant risk of abuse from members of the public, the event is a must attend for all of those responsible for putting people to work on the public highways and across the rail sector.

Building on the huge success of last year's launch at the House of Lords, the Summit will examine the subject of abuse in much greater detail and look at strategies which employers and adopt and the support available from law enforcement agencies and broader society.

Limited to 250 persons already over 200 industry thought leaders have accepted diary place holders for the event with many more from client organisations yet to be invited.

Sadly this means, we, as an organisation will be forced to limit those who apply for tickets and in order to make the process fair to those who have already applied the ballot will close on Thursday 2nd May at 5pm, over four months out from the event.

Speaking about the decision, Communications Director for the Stamp it Out campaign, Adrian Tatum said,

"The summit, once again has proven how much of a priority the safety of our workforce is for employers with a huge number of key stakeholders already accepting the invitations to the event.

"Sadly due to fire regulations at the venue we are limited as to how far we can spread that reach. Rather than make the summit invitation only we have invited industry to apply for the limited number of last places available via a ballot process.

"This is now becoming oversubscribed, and so in order to be fair to those who have applied to attend the event at the earliest possible opportunity we have taken the decision to end the process slightly earlier than anticipated.

"In order to give those who still have an interest in attending the opportunity we will keep the ballot open for a further week.

"What I therefore implore those individuals to do is to register today or at the earliest possible opportunity."
